First thing is, remember, if you want to prosper, you must prospect. If you want to prosper, you must prospect. Okay, so this is how prospecting work. All right. Veronica did it in a three step process. She complimented, she leveraged, and then she takes it away. Okay. She compliments, she leverages, and then she takes it away.
So I'm there at the bowling alley and, they bowl, I'm giving them food and drinks. We're hanging out. And then by the time they leave, Veronica comes back and says. Peter I said, yes. So here goes. Here's the compliment. Wow. You gave really great service. Are you the manager here? And I said, yes, I am the manager.
She was okay. Number two. Here's the leverage My husband and I run a business And we're always looking for people to help us expand it. That's the leverage. Here's the takeaway now I don't know if you're going to qualify But are you ever looking for anything outside of what you're currently doing?
That's it. And I said, yes That was in April of 2011, which was exactly nine years ago, so I say yes, she goes, perfect, that was on a Monday. On a Tuesday, Juan Jaime, her husband calls me says, Hey, I want to invite you to this corporate overview.
My wife and I had great service. They were so nice. I didn't even care to ask about the company. They just felt like friends. So from there, I said, sure. He goes, come in business casual. It's a professional environment. I don't want you to feel out of place. You see that? Not too much pressure. I don't want you to feel out of place.
It's a professional environment. And I said, Oh yeah, yes, we have nursing seminars all the time. I have a tire for that. That's on Tuesday. On Wednesday, I show up to a BPM. Now I want you to know this at the BPM, there's a greeter from the greeter at the door, you get signed in at the desk from getting signed in at the desk.
They give you a tour of the office from the tour of the office. They put you in the mo zone. Do you get caught by a mo zone up a tour catcher from the tour catcher? They give you two mo zone police. Okay. So watch this. Juan Jaime told whoever standing at the front door before the BPM starts. Okay. He goes, when you see a guy named Peter say, I have been expecting him.
And then he told the person that was at the front desk. If someone comes up and says their name is Peter, I want you to have a pre made. Name tag for them. So everybody else is having their names written. I said, Oh, my name is Peter. Oh, we actually have a pre made name tag for you because we were expecting you.
It made me feel special. And then when I was getting a tour around the office, the person that was touring did this. This is our, Oh, Peter. Peter, we were expecting you. So three times already. I'm like, okay, wow, this is incredible. And then they take me to the mozone and then they have people who catch the guests and someone goes, oh Peter, right over here, my name is Rebecca.
Juan Jaime was expecting you. I'm like, wow, a lot of people know my name here, and they're talking to me. And then when someone's breaking the floor, they'll do something like this. We want to welcome you to our office. Oh, Peter, we were all expecting you, there's 20, 30 guests. What is it about me? And then they walk me over and then the opener of the BPM and the closer BPM, they're using my name every so often. By the time I get to Juan Jaime's office, I'm recruited. I'm recruited. I'm not going to lie. I sat down in his office afterwards and Juan Jaime goes, so what did you enjoy the most about everything you heard?
And I said, I'll be honest with you, Juan. From the time I hit the front door to here, I still don't really understand what you do. It's really, I say, yeah, I work as a nurse part time I work at the bowling alley. I don't understand anything about finance, but I really enjoy your environment. It's something I definitely see myself thriving in.
How Crazy He Worked ?
I have 10 personal guests. And then on Sunday, Oh, and those 10 personal guests, all 10 of them got recruited that same day, all 10 of them got recruited. Okay. I don't know if I ever told any of you this funny story. So on Saturday, I bring 10 personal guests. Okay. And at the BPM, we all walk out of the BPM room, and then we all walk into Juan Jaime's room.
I say, Juan, can I get two minutes, please? He was sure. So we go into his room, we close the door and I say, everyone, listen to me. This is the opportunity. This is where it is. We're going to become millionaires in this business. They go, Peter, do you know what it's about? I go, it's about us winning. They go, but what is the company about?
It's about us making changes in people's lives. No, but what are the products and services? It's the environment. And my friends are like, you're not answering our questions. I am. You're just not responding correctly. We're going to be rich. We're going to change lives. We're not going to be broke anymore.
So the next Wednesday, 10 personal guests. That same week on Saturday, 10 personal guests. And then Wednesday, 10 personal guests. And then Saturday, 10 personal guests. For two weeks straight two months straight, Every Wednesday and every Saturday, we brought 10 personal guests, 10 personal guests, 10 personal guests, and I did everything right.
I will go to a basketball court and I will play basketball. I will go in my shorts. I will get in my shoes and I will go there. And while I'm playing basketball. There's always a basketball court somewhere in your city where there's a lot of people sitting around waiting for their turn. I would go there and I would start prospecting people.
I said, Hey, so you waiting to play basketball? Yeah. Oh, what do you do for your career? Oh, I'm an engineer. Oh, I'm a doctor. Oh, I own a business. I said, Oh, that's pretty cool.
Get it? It's a fluid platform. You can do with it whatever you want.
What WFG Business Provided to His Family? - 29:00
and then, her face was so beautiful. And every time I look at her face, I just think, I got you mom. And I look at my dad. I got you dad. And I just always say that and then ready, we pull up in another car and it's a family car. It's a brand new Odyssey. I said, you have five grandkids now. We also took the down payment on that and we paid it all off.
Wow. And I said, whatever you want to let me know. Okay. She was why? Because I'm in the business of commission. And commission means, as long as I serve the mission, you pay millions of dollars, mom. I said, I forget what it's like to not be able to afford a car. I said, mom, you know what a million dollars a year is?
She goes, what? 3, 000 a day, 365 days a year. That's what a million dollars in income is. 3, 000 a day, 365 days. Don't be too excited yet. She goes, why? Because I'm on my way to a million, mom. What's a mortgage? That's a day. That's one day of payment, mom. That's one day of income. That's what a mortgage is nowadays.
That was that right there is why we're in business and you know I know something, I would have never been able to do that unless Juan or Veronica prospected me. So when people challenge me and wonder, why are you so passionate about getting them to win? Cause they got me to win. They didn't give up when I wanted to quit.
Pushing His Leaders Up
Q & As 32:38-
Somebody was asking, what advice and word of encouragement can you give to any newly licensed and not much result to show?
At this moment, really good question. Okay. So you want to chase wealth as far as educating people. Okay. But then some weeks are good and some weeks are bad. So here's the first question. 30 students walk into the classroom. A teacher teaches a class. How many of those 30 students do what the teacher has said, you don't know.
But the question is this was a teacher's goal to force the students to do what they say, or was the teacher's goal to make sure the message gets across. The teacher's goal was to make sure the message got across. Now what the students do with that message, that's up to them. So for the person that's asking this question, if you're truly in to educate families, there is never a good or bad week.
Because a good or bad week is usually used in WFG when someone does or doesn't get recruited. When someone does or doesn't become a client. See, that term, good and bad week, in WFG is typically related. To whether we recruited or we made someone a client but if you're truly here to educate families How could you say it was a good or bad week when if you had done the appointment you had educated somebody I want you to remember recruits can quit sales can refund but education can never be returned Guess what?
I am cambodian chinese and vietnamese. I just educated you That i'm three different nationalities. I look filipino. I just informed you. I look filipino. Okay Will you stay in the business? We don't know. Will you stay a client? We don't know But you can't say that you're going to refund the information. I just told you can't refund what you learn one plus one equals Two refund.
I don't know what that means anymore. You can't do that Education is on you as long as you're meeting with people as long as you're educating Whether they come into the business or not, whether they become a client or not, did you do what a teacher does? Did you educate the student? Yes. Now whether they left and followed what you taught them, that's up to them.
Okay. Awesome. Awesome. Peter. Okay. The next question is okay. How do you reach out to strangers? What do you see in them? Oh, great question. You guys want me to show you a script I use?
That's funny you asked me that. By the way, I didn't prepare it like this. I just have it on me. So this is a, so this is a script that we use after we reach out to strangers, right? Let's just say, oh, yesterday, Kai, remember I was just finishing grocery shopping yesterday. So yesterday I saw the manager running around everywhere in Safeway, right?
Going to the back, going to the front, helping with the cashiers, all that stuff. So the moment, so I waited, okay? I was done shopping. I just kept walking around. Boom, I saw the manager and I had my mask on. I say, excuse me. They go, oh, yes. I say, geez, you're running around a lot. They're like, yeah, I was like, you must be, remember compliment, leverage, take away.
I said, you must be the manager here. They said yes. Oh my gosh. It's crazy. I go, yeah. While people are not working, you're working double time. I just want to appreciate you for handling all the impatience that comes through here for being an essential worker. You're incredible. Thanks. I say that next thing I say, okay, so that's the compliment.
Okay. Here's the leverage. I say, ready? I'm looking to build a home based business. During this whole quarantine thing, and I'm currently one of the individuals that's allowed to bring people on board to help with our expansion plans. I don't know if this suits you or if you're looking for something better than this, but do you leave your options open?
Damn, how do you say no to that? I'm looking to build a home based business during this whole quarantine thing. And I'm one of the individuals in charge of bringing people on board to help us with our expansion plans. Do you leave your business options open? Do you leave your career options open?
Are you ever looking for anything better than this? They're running around, they're sweating, all the customers are yelling at them. What do you think? Of course they are. And then when they say yes, I immediately do this. Number three, I take it away. I say, okay, great. Now, I don't know just from talking to you, if you're going to be a suit for our company, but let me get your name and number.
I'll call you another time when you're not so busy. Great. Okay. I'll call you later. That's it. Imagine what if everybody on this call did that to one person per day? How fast would you take over all the cities and states nearby? If everyone just did one of those per day, compliment, leverage, and take away.
Bam. So hopefully that answers your question. Back to you, Kai. Awesome, Peter. Okay. Somebody asked you Peter, , if you try to prospect somebody, somebody may have heard about WFG before, or have some negative feelings or saw some negative negativity online, how do you approach those people?
That's funny. I just did an appointment this morning with someone who was negative and now they're in business and we recruited his wife and they're getting two policies with us so much for negative, huh? Negative and positive attract. So that's why I took them. Have I ever met someone that's negative?
My god, like, all the time. think about this. In a 30 minute radius of where I live, okay? In 30 minutes in all directions, okay? Swan Wynn's home is 15 minutes away from my home. His daughter is someone I knew back when I was 16 years old. I knew Alicia when she was 14 years old.
She went to school with my little brother, yeah. I've known her since forever. I used to drop her off at home all the time at her house, at her home in Milpitas. We've known Aswan for almost 20 years now. He's 15 minutes away from my home. You know where Penny Oye is? Penny Oye is 30 minutes away from my home.
Eric also lives 10 minutes away from my home. Yeah, Penny, Eric, and Aswan are all right here. Like literally right next to each other. It's crazy. That's why if you guys ever visit, come visit me. My office is two minutes away from Eric Olson's my off. So our homes are 15 to 30 minutes apart. My office is From Eric.
It's about two minutes from pennies is about 15 and swans is about 20 So have we heard of WFG around here? Yes, yes, yeah, you hear a swan I could see if I step outside I could see his home. It's crazy So what happens when we meet somebody that says they've heard of WFG?
This is what I always do, right? Let's just say I'm prospecting Ling, right? It just happened to me at bank of America.
So let's say Ling is the bank teller. Oh, no, not the bank teller, the bank manager. I walk in and she goes, Oh, hi, can I help you? I'm like, yeah, I'm just looking to make a deposit. So we're standing together. And the manager goes, Oh, WFG. I said, yes, you, Oh, I heard of that company.
I said, Oh, did you hear the good side or the bad side? I beat the objection right away. I say, you hear the good side or the bad side? She goes I said, don't worry. I won't take offense. You hear the good side or the bad side? She goes I didn't hear really. I didn't hear the best things about your company.
I said, Oh, yeah. It happens, I still bank with Bank of America, even though I heard bad things, but it's because of people like you, you give me a better impression. I hope someday I get to give you a better impression of WFG as well. That's all I say. I wait to see how they respond. If they respond well, name a number.
If they don't, I go to the next person, and now I'm at Verizon. And I have my WFG shirt on. Oh, you work for WFG? Yeah. Oh, I heard of it. Good things or bad things about WFG? Oh, no, I heard some pretty good things. I said, awesome. Did you get to see in depth why we're a good company? Depending on how they respond, I'll either prospect them or I don't.
And then I'll go to the burger place right next door. And then I'll meet Yu Bei Ding there. I don't know why she would be there, but let's just say she was there, right? And I say, Oh, Hey, you may, you're a manager here. Yeah. Oh, you work for WG. Oh yeah. I heard about that company. I'll still say you heard the good things about this company.
Yeah. Like Peter, the way I just said it, I didn't hear about your company. I said, Oh yeah. Hey, I didn't hear great things about this business either, but Hey, I'm still here. And you know why? Because you make a better impression. I hope someday I get to give you a better impression of the company. I do the same thing to everybody.
It was so crazy. They're five minutes apart. I never stopped saying the same thing. I just keep saying it to new people. I don't say new things to the same people. I just keep saying the same thing to new people. You wouldn't believe how many people I talk to in a day. And I use the same thing over and over and over.
I'm walking the stroller with Jordan. And someone's walking. I say, hey man, so you're taking a walk around the block? He goes, yeah. And he goes, oh, I see your shirt. You work for WFG. I said, yeah, WFG. Hey, he goes, oh, I heard the company. What are you hearing, good things or bad things? Oh man, I've heard both.
I'll say hey. Let me know when's a good time. I can always show you why it's a good and bad company. We just laugh and then and I'm not kidding you. I prospected a guy, his name's Usman. He's an Indian fellow. We were just walking around the block. He has a daughter. I have a son. He goes, I heard good and bad things.
I said Hey, hopefully I get an opportunity to show you the good and bad things about our company. He was good and bad. I go every company has a good and bad thing. Every nationality has a good and bad thing, but here we are still hanging out. You're Indian and I'm Asian. I got his name and number.
He's my direct. I got him this month and I tap rooted him. I say the same thing just to new people. Because it is what it is when you meet somebody who's not interested. Whatever. Do you wear your WFG shirt every time you go out? Every day. You know at the convention? I buy seven of those black shirts. Let me put it this way.
Are you guys surprised at this? I'm not! I wear it at convention, I wear it outside, I wear it... I'm literally the Steve Jobs of WFG. I just wear the same thing every single day. I'm the Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook. I'm here. I just have the same thing every single day. If I wasn't wearing this, I'd be wearing my WFG shirt.
I'm as simple can get. I'm a boring guy overall. Thank God I have funny looking hair because it makes me interesting. That's great, right? People already know you're in WFG.
Awesome. Awesome. Okay. Somebody asked, Hey I think this is a fairly new person. What happened if all people you recruited do not end up buying any of the products? Does just recruiting earn you any money?
Yeah. You can recruit a thousand people. It'll earn you 0 because that's what a pyramid scheme. It does a pyramid scheme is with no products and services.
If you're looking to recruit and build and change someone's life, teach them our products and services, teach them our business, make them become independent. Then yes, there will be some money there for you. Do not recruit people if you're not looking to train them and build them. That is an injustice of WFG. That is the reason why we have bad reviews. Recruit the people that want to be recruited. And, I'll tell you this, I'd rather wait on an AMA than get it too soon and have it rot.
Just so you know. I truly feel that. But Peter, you're a crazy recruiter! Can I tell you something, whether we recruit a lot or a little, ask me the better question. Do I recruit people when they're ready? That's the better question. Peter, what if somebody, like some people, because they recruited people and then they quit and then they lost the passion on recruiting.
You never lost the passion for recruiting, even though so many people quit on you. How, and then some people may say, oh, production is I believe in the mission, but I just I got hurt when people quit on me. So then that's how they, sometimes they lost the passion on recruiting.
That's true. We we teach our team a closing line. It's funny. We teach our team a closing line. I say, Sonny, you lost the passion for recruiting. I completely understand, but just do me a favor. Just always close using this line. Okay. Oh I love recruiting. I don't want to produce. Hey, Ling, that's great.
Can you do me a favor? Just make sure you always close with this line. So we use this line. Okay. This is funny because. What's the line? So this is the line, okay? So the funny thing, Sunny, is do you remember a guy named Roger? He came and spoke at the thing. He was he was one of the three guys that spoke.
Yes. Roger's wife hated recruiting. They just crossed 200, 000. They're about to promote their first SMD. And they hate recruiting. I said, that's fine. Use this one line every time though. She's okay. So ready? Watch this. So let me angle this down, okay? So first thing is this. Now everybody on this call, I want to make sure I disclose everyone on this call.
Make sure you run it by your leadership because your guys's hierarchy is amazing. I'm just sharing what you what we do. Okay, so in my zoom trainings, I do this 123456.
Four, five, six, seven. Okay, this is funny. Okay, watch this one, two, three, four, five, six, seven. And this is what I do. Okay, I'm going to type it over here on the right side. So everybody can keep up with me. Okay, I'm going to say the name of the person. And I say, now that you've seen everything that we do, you tell me what interests you the most.
Is it our products, is it our products and services, the business, or both? Okay, so now that everybody sees it, you're going to see me do it, okay? 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. Okay. Watch this. Okay. watch this. So Sonny, now that you've seen everything that we do, you tell me what interests you the most. Is it our products and services, the business or both?
You see how that works. You're not recruiting anybody. You're just asking Ling. Now that you've seen everything that we do, you tell me what interests you the most, is it our products and services, our business? Or both. And then they tell you, you know what you may, I like the business. So this is how you follow up.
Okay, if they say both or the business This is what you say great You tell me which of these two things you wouldn't qualify for Is it us running the app? Is it us running the application?
First thing is, remember, if you want to prosper, you must prospect. If you want to prosper, you must prospect. Okay, so this is how prospecting work. All right. Veronica did it in a three step process. She complimented, she leveraged, and then she takes it away. Okay. She compliments, she leverages, and then she takes it away.
